Chandor

Chandor, one of the most prominent villages, is located close to Majorda-Beach and is believed to be the capital of Chandrapur rulers in the past. The village is well known for its ancient fort and a temple. Moreover, it also serves as a port, which laid the foundation of trade in the country. The metalled manuscripts and the ancient inscriptions found during excavations depict that this region was under the rule of the South Indian dynasties. The ancient inscriptions of the Bhoja kings were also found in this region.
