Fort Aguada

Fort Aguada was constructed during the rule of Portuguese in the early 16th century, in the colonial architectural form. It was enclosed by huge walls to protect from the attacks of other rulers. A citadel is present inside the fort that has an orbicular lighthouse tower, built in 1864. The Cabo Raj Niwas can easily be sighted from the top of the lighthouse. The Fort Aguada has been turned into a central jail and few areas of the fort are in ruins.
