Colva Beach

Colva Beach is located at a distance of around 11 km from Varca and is considered to be one of the largest beaches in the world. Situated on the western side of Margao, the beach stretches over 25 km and is covered with white sands. Dotted with coconut palms, the beach is located on a coastal stretch that begins from Bogmalo in its north and ends on Cabo de Rama on its south. Sprawling across South Goa's coastline, the beach served as a site of Mundanca or change of air during the colonial rule. The Colva church, which represents the architecture and lattice work found in the century old houses or villas, is situated nearby.
