Amul Dairy Museum

The Amul Dairy Cooperative Museum is a major sightseeing destination of Anand. The prime building of the Dairy Museum, surrounded by a water body is built with red stones. The pathway to the gallery is admired with a number of photographs depicting the gradual evolution of the museum into the advanced industry of today. The Dairy Museum also has an Auditorium, equipped with 100 seats, where movies on the history and evolution of the milk movement of India are projected. The major contribution of building the milk industry of Amul Dairy goes to Dr. Varghese Kurien. Nearly Five hundred thousand milk producers of the Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers Union, have a major influence in the operation of this Dairy Museum, which is considered one of the biggest co-operative movements of the world.
