Kaleshwar Mahadev temple, situated 8 km from Paragpur village in the Himalayan range in Kangra district, is an ancient Shiva temple. A large part of this temple complex is covered with tombs and small temples. There are references about this temple in the Hindu epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata. In this temple, the Shivalinga is situated much below the ground level. Located near the Vyas River, water during the monsoon reaches the Shivalinga.Shivaratri is the most popular festival in the temple and people from the neighbourhood participate in it with great enthusiasm.
