Kamaksha Devi temple at Kao village is dedicated to Kamaksha Devi, an incarnation of Goddess Durga. Local people believe that demon Mahishasura was killed by Goddess Durga at this place. The demon was in the form of a buffalo and hence, numerous buffaloes are sacrificed at this temple on the eve of Navratri. This shrine has been designed in traditional Pagoda architectural style, with beautiful wood carvings and paintings
