Solan

Solan, A  glorious district and also a city in the Himalian rigion and a UNESCO recognised World Heritage site situated in Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is also known as "City of Red Gold" because the bulk production of tomatoes in this district. Solan named after goddess 'Shoolini'. Salon is also known as the “mushroom city of India” because the bulk production of mushroom in this district as well as the Directorate of Mushroom Research (DMR) is situated at Chambaghat. The tourist spots of Solan district are Salon Velley, Gurkha Castles, Kamura Fort, Sholoni Devi Temple and Dr. Yashwant Singh Paramar University Of Horticulture and Forestry.
