Shiva Temple

The Shiva temple also known as Maharani temple or Mohineshwar Shivalalaya is another significant tourist attraction of Baramula, situated in Gulmarg town. This temple is said to be one of the royal temples of Dogra Kings of Jammu and Kashmir in ancient times. It was built in 1915 by Mohini Bai Sisodhi, who was the wife of King of Kashmir, Maharaja Hari Singh. Its architecture makes this temple visible from all sides of Gulmarg. The interior of this Shiva temple comprises idols of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.
