The Pazhassi Dam, built across the Valapattanam River, was inaugurated by Morarji Desai, the former Prime Minister of India. Boating is a popular activity in the reservoir of this dam. The Children's Park, Sculpture of Pazhassi King and Buddha's Mountain are some of the popular attractions located near the dam.
