Nellikunnu Mosque is situated near Kasargod and is renowned for the Uroos. The mosque has the tomb of Thangal Uppappa and the word Uroos has been derived from his name. This mosque is famous for the Nercha celebration, a week-long festival organised in the month of November. A huge feast takes place during the last day of the Uroos.
