Bay Island Driftwood Museum

Bay Island Driftwood Museum is one of the popular museums in the Kumarakom region, which has a unique collection of driftwood articles. It is a unique museum, which houses a collection of twisted stumps of driftwood that were collected from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. These driftwood articles have been made using an innovative modern art technique that holds high artistic value. Some of these articles are similar in appearance to animals, birds, reptiles, fishes and amphibians. The museum authorities take care of scraping, polishing, shaping and preservation of these unique driftwood articles. This museum is situated close to Nedumbassery Airport and Kottayam Railway Station which makes it easily accessible from varied parts of the state.
