Wayanad wildlife sanctuary situated in Wayanad district in an Indian state of Kerala, also the most visiting place of South India. It was established in 1973 and today it is spread in around 244.44 sq. km. It share border with the neighbouring states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, and is the southern most tip of the Deccan Plateau. The culture of Wayanad is mainly tribal oriented. This district is one of the biggest foreign exchange earners of the State with its production of cash crops like pepper, cardamom, coffee, tea, spices and more. It is basically known for its cool highland climate, misty peaks and its virgin forests. It is usually called the spice garden of the south, the land of paddy fields.
