Shri Ballaleshwar Ashtavinayaka in Durshet is located between River Amba and the Sarasgad Fort. The temple was constructed in 1760 and has the main deity wearing clothes like a brahmin. There is an east facing temple complex which is completely tiled and encompasses two lakes.The temple has two main sanctums, with the idol of Lord Vinayaka installed inside the inner and bigger sanctum. The outer sanctum of the temple measures 12 ft in height and has a rat idol with modak in Lord Vinayaka's hands. The temple also has a 40 ft long and 20 ft broad hall that is ornamented with an European style bell.
