Agashiv is a famous hill that exhibits the oldest available remains of the Buddhist rock cut caves located on the south-east of this hill. The hills are also known for steep slopes and a pointed top.The Buddhist rock cut caves belong to the Hinayana sect and is a popular tourist spot. These caves bear an inscription stating that the caves were donated by Sanghamitra to the Bhikkhu Sangha.
