Vishnupad Temple

The Vishnupad Temple is located on the shore of the River Chandrabhaga, connected by a ramp. The shape of the shrine is in form of a massive open hall, with sixteen large pillars supporting the roof. The pillars of the temple portray Lord Krishna and Lord Vishnu in several postures. There are different stones within the temple that have footprints of Lord Vishnu depicted to be in different poses such as crossed legged or standing on both his feet and so on.This temple which is located in middle of the river, has these footsteps partially submerged in water and the level of water keeps rising during the monsoon.
