Harihareshwar town is situated near Shriwardhan. The region was once ruled by the Peshwas of the Maratha kingdom. The region is popular for pilgrimage sites and a beach, Harihareshwar Beach, where visitors can go for a swim.Another attraction, the Ganesh Gully has been named after Lord Ganesh. It is believed that a statue of Lord Ganesh is immersed under water, deep inside the gully. The Kalbhairav Temple is another attraction of the region, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
