This architectural piece is located in the heart of Jaisalmer, close to the railway station. The arched roof of this structure is capped with blue cupolas along with carved brackets that resemble a peacock. Soon after its construction, this building was occupied by the Mehta family which was the most influential family during that time. This haveli has various tuskers that guard the gateway. These tuskers are made of sand stone and resemble the structures in other nearby havelis. Salim Singh-ki-Haveli comprises around 38 balconies that are totally different in appearance from each other. This haveli is also called as Jahazmahal, as the front facet resembles a ship stern. The architecture of this haveli is unique as compared to the other havelis.
