Purjan Vihar

Purjan Vihar was earlier known as the Company Gardens. This garden serves presently as a picnic spot. Built during the reign of Maharaja Shiv Dan Singh in 1868, Purjan Vihar has a portion where there is a canopy of trees not allowing any sunlight to enter, thus keeping the surroundings cool.Hence, the name Simla was given to it, which meant the summer house. This place was built during the time of Maharaja Mangal Singh.
