Salasar Balaji Temple

Salasar Balaji Temple is located in the Salasar town of the Churu district. Popularly known as Salasar Dham, this ancient temple houses a statue of Lord Balaji, the incarnation of Lord Hanuman. Various special pujas and offerings are carried out to Lord Balaji throughout the year.Upon being pleased by the worship and devotion of Shri Mohan Das Maharaj, the Hindu deity of loyalty and vigour, Shri Hanuman Ji, appeared in the form of a statue. The statue which appeared in the Asota village on Saturday, Shrawan Sukla Navami, Vikram Samvat 1811, was shifted to Salasar, where the temple was built. Even though, devotees come throughout the year, the temple is a venue for two major fairs in April and October on the occasion of Chaitra and Ashwin Purnimas, respectively.After visiting the site, one can also visit Dhunia of Mohandas ji, Temple of Anjani Mata, Mohan Mandir and Samadhi Sthal of Kanidadi that are located close to the temple.
