Chando Tal Travel Map

Chando Tal, located on the outskirts of the town, is one of the chief attractions of the destination. According to folk stories, there was an estate called Chandra Nagar at the site, which was converted into a lake due to natural degradation. These stories were framed after fishermen extracted treasures and ornaments from the site.Located 8 kilometres from the district headquarters towards Kalwari, the water body is 5 kilometres long and 4 kilometres wide. The water body is also flocked by migratory birds and provides habitat to various bird species. Therefore, the site has become popular for activities like birdwatching and fishing.
