Diwan-i-khas
Just adjacent to the Diwan-e-am, there is a red sand stone building known as Diwan-i-khas. Since this place was much smaller than the court held for private audience. It is here that the Mughal emperor would have private meetings with the visiting dignitaries and guests. It was built in the year 1635 by Shah Jahan. Perhaps the most astonishing design by Mughal standards is "Hauz-i-Jehandiri". Hauz- I- Jehandiri or Jehangir's tank was built in 1611. In fact it has 3 steps inside as well as outside to get in and out of the tank. You will find Persian inscriptions on the exteriors of the rim."
