Khusro Bagh
Khusro Bagh, located close to Allahabad railway station, is one of the popular tourist destinations in Allahabad. The park holds a huge historical significance as it houses the tomb of Prince Khusro. Prince Khusro was one of the sons of Emperor Jahangir.Prince Khusro was brutally executed in the war of succession. The facts state that during the fight of succession, Prince Khurram, who was also the son of Jahangir eliminated Khusro. After that he wrested the power from his father as well. Later as the time passed, Prince Khurram grew up to become Shah Jahan who built the Taj Mahal in the loving memory of his deceased wife.Located near to this tomb is another unoccupied tomb, which was intended for his sister. In addition, there is another tomb which was constructed for Khusro's mother. She poisoned herself in despair as she was not able to handle Khusro's opposition of his father Jahangir.
