Digamber Jain Bada Mandir

The Acharya of Kharatargatchh, Shri Jinchandrasuriji, has talked about four stoops or pillars during his visit in VS 1627. Besides, Muni Shri Soubhagya Vijayji had also visited this same place in VS 18th century and had talked about three stoops. The Digambar Jain Temple was re-established in VS 1863.The temples of the locality are mostly constructed on the basis of the 'sthapatya-shastra', ancient Vedic texts and feature various kinds of architectural facets from all over the country. There is an image of Bhagwan situated under the central dome of the monument.Jain followers who come here for puja are offered many facilities like accommodation, bathing facilities as well as dining facilities. Dining mostly comprises of vegetarian food. Other places inside the compound include Jain library, Kailash Parvat, Vradhashram, Jal-Mandir, Acharya Vidynand Museum, Guruku and 4 Nishiyaji.
