Sikander Bagh

Sikander Bagh has been named after the queen of the last ruler of Awadh, Wajid Ali Shah. Spread over an area of 50 square metres in the National Botanical Research Institute, the park was one of the venues of the Revolt of 1857.In a pavilion located in its centre, performances of classical as well as folk artists are organised. A popular recreation site, the park was built in 1800 AD, during the reign of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan.
