St. John's Church Travel Map

St. John's Church was founded in 1819 by Chaplin Reverend Henry Fisher, for the East India Company in the cantonment area. The construction of the church was completed in 1822. It is regarded as one of the oldest churches in North India.The church was dedicated to the local people by Bishop Wilson. It has a seating capacity of around 10,000 people. The church witnessed the struggle between the Indian soldiers and the British forces during the Revolt of 1857.
