The hamlet of Rambara lies 7 km before Kedarnath. It is at an altitude of 2591 m above sea level and 7 km away from Gaurikund. It is the midpoint of the 14 km long trek to Kedarnath and is mostly a resting place with accommodation provided by the GMVN Tourist Rest House
