The Mayawati Ashram also known as the Advaita Ashram is situated amongst the valleys of Kumaon region and is a popular site for spiritualists. Swami Vivekananda shifted the publication office of ‘Prabuddh Bharat' newspaper from Madras to this ashram in 1898, during his visit to Almora.
