Chauthi Ki Jaali
Chauthi Ki Jaali, one of the famous tourist spots, is located on a cliff in Mukteshwar. Dotted with lush green surroundings and numerous rocks, the site is renowned for offering beautiful views of the Kumaon valley. The natural lattices and a hole in the rock are the remnants of the battle between demons and goddess.The evidence for the same can be seen in the form of outlines of a sword, a shield and a trunk of an elephant, which are engraved at the site. The site is frequently thronged by devotees and tourists as it is believed that women are blessed with children if they touch these lattices. Tourists can also engage themselves in mountain climbing and rappelling activities that are regularly organised at the site.
