Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park

The Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park is situated on the Pavagadh Hills in Panchmahal District. In 2004, this park was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This park features a large concentration of historic, unexcavated archaeological and living cultural heritage properties. There are many fortifications, religious buildings, palaces, residential precincts, etc. near this archaeological park. This park has temples that depict a perfect blend of Jain and Hindu architecture. These temples were built during the reign of Mahmud Begada in the 16th century.
