Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium

Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, which was established in 1997, is situated at Vizhinjam, which is an important fishing port in Kerala. This aquarium showcases the rarest species of invertebrates and ornamental fish in the world. Managed by the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), this aquarium houses crabs, squirrelfish, moon wrasse, clownfish and butterfly fish. Visitors to the aquarium can also see lionfish, giant turtles, surgeonfish, triggerfish, piranhas and sharks.
