Kumily is a small town located near Thekkady and Periyar in the Cardamom Hills, in the district of Idukki in Kerala. Other than being a major tourist destination, it is also a major spice-trading centre. Kumily is a town that remains busy throughout the year as devotees come here from the months of October to January and tourist come here from the months of February to September because of the pleasant climate. Smalls are provided here in the spice plantation for the travellers who come here.
