Khandoba Temple, situated on the eastern hills, is an important landmark of town, which is considered as the unofficial symbol of Beed. Built in Hemadpanthi style, this tomb features two symmetrical octagonal towers of light, which stand 21.33 m tall.The towers are adorned with the carved figures of humans and animals. According to legends, this temple was built by Sultanji Nimbalkar, who was a Jagirdar of the Nizam era. However, few others believe that the temple was constructed by Mahadji Scindia.
