Jain Temple Bakra Road

Jalore is a noted place for Jain pilgrims and houses a number of Jain temples of Adinath, Parsvanath, Mahavira and Santinath. The oldest temple is of Adinath, which can be traced back to the 8th century. The temple of Parsvanath on the Bakra Road was first built by the ruler of Jalore and then it was again rebuilt in 1785.The temple is mainly famous for its architecture and sculpting. It features an archway and a golden cupola in the hall. A fair is held at the site of the temple every year on Posh Magh Shukla Saptami. The temples of Satinatha and Ashtapads are believed to have existed here in the 13th century.
