Gaumukh
The main source of the Ganga or the Bhagirathi River is the Gaumukh glacier. This is the main reason a large number of devotees visit this place to take a dip in the ice cold water. It is 18 km from Gangotri and the trek to Gaumukh from Gangotri is easy.
