Nachiketa Tal
Nachiketa Tal is a lake surrounded by greenery and has a small temple on the banks. It is situated at a distance of 32 km from Uttarkashi. The journey goes through terraced fields to Chaurangi Khal. From there a trek of three kilometers takes one to Nachiketa Tal.It is believed that Nachiketa, the religious son of Uddalak, a saint, had given this lake its shape and is so named after him. Since there are no proper accommodation facilities around Nachiketa Tal, tourists can either stay at Chaurangi Khal or get back to Uttarkashi.
