Fort Aguada

Fort Aguada, counted amongst the prime attractions of Goa, is located around 20.6 km away from Miramar. This ancient structure is believed to have been built during the reign of the Portuguese. It was established with the aim of protecting Goa from attacks. This fort is popular for its colonial architecture. Another attraction of this fort is the citadel that has an ancient lighthouse built in 1864. Presently, this fort has been converted into a central jail.
