A triangular lake, the Satopanth Lake is famous for its calm water. It is spread for some half a kilometer in perimeter and it is believed that the trinity of gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva occupy the three corners of the lake. It is located some 25 km from Badrinath. This place is very popular for trekking and camping.
